Case Study Overview

CTAI approached HORIBA MIRA to be its dedicated test and engineering partner, when planning for successful delivery of its EMC and electrical trial requirements to DE&S. The Series Production contract for supply of 40mm Cased Telescoped Cannons to the AJAX armoured vehicle fleet required a full engineering service to include method development, multi-year planning and trials delivery of compliant systems alongside numerous customer groups across the UK and France.

CTAI are a company whom HORIBA MIRA have worked with over the last 10+ years in the field of Defence. We have conducted EMC & Electrical trials within our class-leading test facilities in the UK and at their test and development premises in Bourges, France.

We have also provided direct technical assurance / governance through a consultancy support contract to their EM Manager since 2017.Through centralised delivery, we have delivered all EM and electrical trials required to successfully deliver CTAI contractual requirements to DE&S (MoD) for the cannons being installed within the AJAX armoured fighting vehicle fleet.
