CTAI are a company whom HORIBA MIRA have worked with over the last 10+ years in the field of Defence. We have conducted EMC & Electrical trials within our class-leading test facilities in the UK and at their test and development premises in Bourges, France.
We have also provided direct technical assurance / governance through a consultancy support contract to their EM Manager since 2017.Through centralised delivery, we have delivered all EM and electrical trials required to successfully deliver CTAI contractual requirements to DE&S (MoD) for the cannons being installed within the AJAX armoured fighting vehicle fleet.
Successes and benefits
HORIBA MIRA supported CTAI in multiple test and consultancy areas, recognising trial hurdles and leading success through their technical expertise to deliver class-leading agile support alongside the cannon production schedule, to meet contractual obligations in full:
- Cross-site HORIBA MIRA trials delivery, centralised coordination and programme management
- Through-life consultancy and support, demonstrating a proven agility for delivery of high-impact technical challenges and contract gateway success in cadence with the challenging production output
- Strategic, risk-managed delivery of on-site EMC test and development solutions alongside CTAI’s engineering team for minimised scheduling impact
- Specialist test and consultancy support to designated CTAI trial sites leading to compliant engineering part development to meet challenging production timeframes
HORIBA MIRA has provided invaluable technical and programme management support to establish contract-compliant units to DE&S and directly assisted supply of our advanced weaponry to the end customer.
