Designers Of The Future Asked To Provide Artwork For MIRA’s Soapbox Racer
The graduates and apprentices at MIRA racing in the annual Hinckley Soap Box ‘time trial’ derby on the 8th July would like to use the imagination of a local child to design an eye catching artwork for the bodywork of their racer.
The event, which will be watched by large crowds, takes place in Castle Street on the 8th July and MIRA’s team is hoping that a design in keeping with the theme of ‘Car of the Future’ will help them stand out and spur them to victory.
MIRA personnel manager Lisa Rowles said:
“I am delighted that the graduates and apprentices have chosen to run a competition which encourages young children to think about car design – which fits perfectly with MIRA’s goal of encouraging and nurturing engineering talent.
“Events like the Hinckley soapbox race and next year’s Greenpower Challenge are ideal projects for MIRA’s Graduates and Apprentices to develop their skills.”
